The Master in Information and Communication Technologies, mICT, is an international Master's program designed for you who work in the ICT industry.
The aim of the program is to give the participants cross-disciplinary qualifications within the key areas related to information and communication technologies. The cross-disciplinary profile addresses the growing need for engineers who can combine knowledge from different areas:
The mICT program is a part-time study. It will be conducted over a period of 2 years, corresponding to 60 ECTS-points.
Through the education three main academic areas are covered:
In addition, a 'general academic area' is defined, which includes courses of general/methodical nature.
The whole period is divided into three trimesters of eight months; each trimester focuses on one of the main disciplines:
Trimester 1: ICT Services and Platforms
The purpose of the 1st trimester is to give students a basic understanding of the technologies behind networks and systems, as well as to give an understanding of the service architectures, platforms and business models that are needed to provide future services and applications.
Trimester 2: ICT Applications Development
The purpose of the second trimester is to make the students capable of exploring and applying the potential of ICT to address a wide variety of user and organizational needs. This is realized by analyzing, designing, implementing and testing applications and services that can be deployed on ICT platforms and infrastructures. The technical development process is carried out with a constant focus on target users, usage scenarios, stakeholders and business aspects to ensure the validity of approaches.
Trimester 3: Master's Thesis
The purpose of the third trimester is to document that the students individually or in small groups can plan and finalize a project at a high technological level. The final thesis shall document the student’s ability to apply scientific theories and methods at a high level.
